Muffin Tin Mondays, ABCs!

Muffin Tin Monday at Her Cup Overfloweth

I know we've done this theme before, but I have certain foods that just need to be eaten! I'm off to Chicago later this week and I wanted certain fruits/veggies eaten before they end up being wasted. I really don't enjoy wasting food.

Anyhow, we opted for an alphabet theme this week!

Starting from the top left and going across the top row, then bottom:
A is for Apples
B is for Bananas, Blackberries & Blueberries
C is for Carrots, Celery & Cucumber
D is for Dip (roasted red pepper & tomato is the fave this week)
E is for Egg (half a hardboiled egg, decorated to look like a cat)
F is for Fish-shaped sandwich (tuna FISH salad on Nature's Own Honey Wheat)

Be sure to check out Muffin Tin Monday for other fun lunches!

Love how you have the B and C things all going together well even though you've 3 words each, this must have been a yummy, fun AND healthy meal!

I saw Fish & Eggs and thought, the kids are eating Caviar. There goes the lunch budget!

I love the egg molds and purchased them, but started wondering about the lead content - do you know if they are held to a certain standard? I am just a concerned mom.

I don't know, I no longer have the packets from mine. They are at least meant for food, so I'm hoping that they are safe.

Writing a quick tutorial on the cute face eggs as soon as I retake the pics. Those are definitely food-safe, they are all knife work.

So cute! Do you have a recipe for the dip? Or is it store bought?
Thanks!

I'm new to MTM, and a little confused. What did you use the egg mold for?

I love the kitty egg. It's dear, and I can't wait to see how you made it.

@SingleMom - Dip recipes are up, had to type them out.

@Tara - I didn't use egg molds in this tin, but I have in the past. These are just regular eggs decorated.

What do you use to draw the faces on the eggs?
