Weekend Pizza Bento

Like most kids, F&B do love pizza. Lately, we've been making it more often at home to make it healthier overall. It seemed like a great choice for a weekend bento!

Our pizza is made out of Nature's Own MultiGrain Sandwich Rounds for crust (perfect and sturdy too!), with a tomato sauce and a variety of shredded cheeses. There are a few pepperonis under the cheese too. The pizza has olive eyes & nose, a roasted red pepper smile, and cucumber slice ears. I'm not sure what it is. A bear? A mouse? Something else? What does it look like to you?

Underneath the pizza critter is the kids' favorite celery, cream cheese & carrot decorations. They picked off the carrots, ate those, then asked for raisins to make "ants on a log".

On the right is a mini chocolate cupcake and mixed fruits (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, cantaloupe & honeydew). I still need to cut the pineapple for them.

It's all packed in one of her EasyLunchboxes because I wanted the pizza to lay flat so I could decorate it!

  5. How do you keep your bentos in place when the kids lunchboxes get jostled around? I want to make some of these cute lunches, but I am worried they will fall apart when the lunchboxes go in and out of the backpacks.

    Thanks!
