Muffin Tin Monday - Valentine's Day

Muffin Tin Monday

I finally got my act together and remembered before Monday afternoon that there was a Muffin Tin Monday. Of course, since Monday is actually Valentine's Day, there is only one acceptable theme in our house!

Faith has a bbq pork stuffed muffin, topped with cheese hearts, heart shaped cantaloupe, grapes (I tried to make them heart shaped, but ended up with squished grapes), heart shaped cucumbers and carrots, a heart shaped container with ranch dip for her veggies, and a homemade devil food cupcake, with sprinkles and a cherry heart on top.

The carrots were totally inspired by Sheri at Happy Little Bento. She made the cutest sausage hearts for her daughter's bento that I wanted to try. Except we didn't have sausage, so baby carrots give you essentially the same shape to work with. Mine are skewered on a toothpick, but Faith is 8 and knows not to eat the pick. ;o)

Check out Muffin Tin Monday for more fun tins!
