May the Fourth be With You! Star Wars Day Snacks

It's Star Wars Day! May the Fourth Be With You!

Since we didn't need lunches today, the kids and I are having Star Wars Day snacks instead. Ben is wearing his Boba Fetch shirt (a doggie wearing a Boba Fett helmet) whereas I am wearing my "Come to the Dark Side, We Have Cookies!" Darth Vader shirt.

We decided to make Yoda fruit plates for one of our snacks today.  Yoda is cut out of honeydew melon, with the Williams Sonoma press-style cookie cutters.  Extra easy and the melon keeps the print well!  We added cantaloupe stars (since I had precut the cantaloupe to fit in smaller containers), blackberries, and blueberries!

We also made key-lime Yoda cupcakes.  There's no trick here, the mix sounded yummy, so we bought it to try.  Faith baked them, then I iced them with key-lime icing and we decorated them with Yoda picks.

They might not be as fancy as last year's lunch, but we enjoyed!
