Camp Invention, Day 3 Bento

The kids are loving camp this week and it's so much better than them being stuck at home with packers and movers.  We're also working hard at finishing as much food as we can since I hate wasting food.

For dinner on Tuesday night, we had BBQ chicken in the crockpot.  Instead of shredding it, I left it whole and we had side dishes instead of sandwiches.  I chopped up the leftover chicken in my mini-chopper and added mayo to make chicken salad.

Since we are almost out of bread, I opted for chicken salad with crackers and a spoon to spread it.  We added pineapple and strawberry chunks to fill out the meal and a bag of Pirate Booty (not pictured).  They have several snack breaks during the day, so they also took yogurt and a protein bar.

Lunch is packed in our Easy Lunchboxes, with the chicken salad in a 4-Inch Large Baking Cups from Casabella.

  1. Oh yum, we love chicken salad and I love the idea of providing it in a muffin cup with some crackers!
