We headed out to a park playdate this afternoon and opted to bring along a simple snack bento to keep us from stopping for junk food. It worked, no stops, but next time, we need more water! :o)
The kiddos had canteloupe & honeydew, some deli ham, cheese cubes and a few crackers (underneath the ham). For reference, this worked fine because I back our lunch right before we left for the park and we ate within the hour. I do not recommend putting crackers under ham if you don't want soggy crackers later in the day. ;o)
