We received a Zak Nibble Tray when we got home from Canada to try out & review on the blog. I fell in love with it ages ago on a different site and had it on my list of things I wish I had when F&B were babies (seriously, wouldn't it be the cutest baby bento ever???) So did Faith, so we were quite excited to get one of our own to try out. Even better, with all the little compartments, we realized that it really does hold quite a bit of food if you want it to, so it's working it's way into our bento & Muffin Tin Monday rotation.
Adorable! It would be perfect for babies trying a variety of foodstuffs. I guess for my older kids I might try putting chopped pizza toppings for make your own mini pizzas. They might be more likely to use spinach, sweet peppers, olives, shrooms, even asparagus tips!
ReplyDeletei have had this on my wishlist a long time! i would love one! would use for my 1 yr old for hame cubes, cheese cubes, tiny crackers, apple cubes, diced chicken and much more!!

I have three kids and I think my two year old and four year old would love these. For my four year old daughter, I would put grape tomatoes, cheese cubes, carrots, ranch dressing, maybe some cubed up chicken pieces, and some grapes. I would even still have room. Cool!!
ReplyDeleteWhile poking around on the Mealtime Fun Zone, I learned that Zak, as a company, actively participates in various regionally run Green campaigns, such as the Spokane County Commute Trip Reduction campaign, as well as having set up a great, company wide recycling program that covers aluminum cans, cardboard boxes, batteries, engine oil, unserviceable pallets, paper, and even office supplies. Way to go, Zak!!!

ReplyDeleteMy kids don't like their food mixed so this would be perfect. Their favorites right now are: broccoli, carrots, blueberries, raspberries, beans, and cheese. Yes I know my kids are weird. They would rather eat broccoli than pancakes for breakfast and we haven't told them how strange that makes them!

ReplyDeleteI really did like his philosophy on raising grazers. The majority of us were taught to eat 3 times a day, but because of that we keep eating until our plate is empty. Last night I went out to dinner and I literally had to only a third of my serving since it was so HUGE. We need products like these to help us find the right proportions for our children.

i think it would be fun to do chocolate "fondue" type of things in it. dice up fruits, cheese, and put in crackers in the yellow part and keep in fridge. the green part would be soften milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate. This would be a perfect summer snack because the heat will keep the chocolate soft while the kids biting into cold fruits/cheese. mMMmm yum!
ReplyDeleteCute! Appetizers for a family picnic, school lunch for my 6yo....

This looks like fun. I would put chunks of pineapple, banana, apple and other fruits in the bottom half. On top, I would put in my marshmallow cream fruit dip and caramel dips. Then I would use this for a healthy desert for all of us.

ReplyDeleteI love this idea! My kids eat better given choices... I would put carrots, sunflower seeds, berries, and dried pinapple in the middle four compartments, pb sandwitch (cut) into the top (and maybe bottom compartments depending on room) and hummus in the dipping area for the carrots. There are so many other ideas too! (like 1/2 a fruit muffin and pumpkin seeds and hard boiled egg...!!!)
