A Pizza Bun Bento!

I had the choice today between making a cute bento or a new recipe for pizza buns that also looked really intriguing. In the end, the pizza buns won out, and my house smelled nice and garlic-y last night!

These were pretty simple, I found them on a recipe linky, who in turn found them on Pinterest, and now I can't remember what the link is (I'll look for it in a bit). In summary, roll out refrigerated pizza dough (like Pillsbury). Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder, top with parmesan, shredded cheese and diced pepperoni, then roll up tightly. Slice into rounds, put on a baking sheet and bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes.

So today, Faith has two of the pizza buns, along with a small container of marinara for dipping (side note, I need bigger little containers), some carrots, some honeydew, some strawberries and a piece of brownie I made a couple of nights ago. It's all packed in one of our Easy Lunchboxes (also available on Amazon). Nice and easy this morning, as the recipe yielded 10 buns. Shaun and I sampled one last night, the kids took 4 in their lunches between the two of them, Shaun had three in his and I had the last two here.

  1. We use the easy lunchboxes too and this looks like something the boys would love in their lunch. I think I'll try it for Thursday.

  2. Hi Shannon! I'm Italian and in my country there aren't these...plates? dishes? I saw it only on tv, in Japanese cartoons, but they're so cute! I'd really like to eat something like this!:)
    Ciao for now!
(Oh, I've an italian blog too, and there's a translator, if you want to visit it:))
