Thermos Products for Back-to-School

The kids and I got a chance at a sneak peek of some of Thermos's new products for back to school and are excited to get to share them on the blog this week!

Thermos selected the most perfect items for us--the Spiderman dual compartment lunch kit (immediately claimed by Ben), a blue FUNtainer bottle, a pink FUNtainer food jar, and the most adorable pink floral lunchbag with a bird on it that just screamed Faith on it!

Ben's Spiderman dual compartment lunch kit is exactly what the boy would have chosen for himself, he does love his superheroes!  I liked the dual compartment aspect.  The main compartment has plenty of room for one of our three tiered bento boxes, along with the FUNtainer bottle next to it.  Alternatively, many of our longer two tier ones fit as well, along with a drink box of sorts on top.  We had a dual compartment box a few years back and I love the bottom tier for icepacks or to separate snacks from lunch.  Just tuck the snacks in the bottom and lunch at the top, so the kids can easily distinguish between the two!

Now Faith is in LOVE with this bag, it's pink, it's got a bird on it, it's got flowers, what's not to love when you're 10?  Now from the mom and lunch packer perspective, I love it too.  It actually holds a lot of items!  The sides have a metal bar in them, kind of pocketbook style, which allows the bag to open quite wide and stay there.  We tried one of our EasyLunchboxes for the fit and there was still lots of room left after adding the container, enough to add both the FUNtainer bottle and the FUNtainer food jar.  Since the EasyLunchboxes fit, I know all our smaller containers will too, and there's plenty of space for a variety of lunch items and snacks.

We also tried out the FUNtainer bottle and food jar. We already love the food jars and own several.  If you boil water and warm the jar first, then add piping hot food, you'll have food that stays warm till lunchtime!  We definitely use these in the Colorado winter, the kids love having soup for lunch!  (Side note: the husband and I have the Thermos brand coffee mugs, travel coffee container and the grown-up food jars.  We have thoroughly vetted the brand).

The FUNtainer bottle was a new addition to our collection and Ben is quite impressed with it.  I think he is especially fond of the push button lid release, as he walked around with it for awhile just opening it up, over and over again.  I liked it too--it's a great size for the boy and it's insulated to keep drinks cold.  We'll be buying a second one of those, since both kids are trying to lay claim to it!

For back-to-school, we've seem Thermos products at a ton of local stores (Target, Walmart, the PX on post) and they are always available on Amazon or through Thermos' website!

I received the above products from Thermos for the purposes of this review.  No other compensation was received and all opinions expressed are my own.

  1. I love your blog! However, I cannot find the style of lunch bag as the Pink with Flowers on Thermos.com, Amazon.com or even Target/Walmart's website. I am very interested in getting that style. Could you please help with a link? The Spiderman one is easy to find at all those sites.

  2. Woo hoo! Thanks for finding it. I would never have thought to check out Disney. The entire time I thought it was just a Thermos brand. {hugs}

  4. Does the ELB fit the bottom compartment of the Spiderman lunch bag?

    1. No, it's a lot smaller than an ELB, maybe 6x8 inches tops, I think a little less.
