I've been debating for awhile if I needed to buy us a Bentgo Kids lunchbox. Finally, after finding a great deal on it, I bit the bullet and I'm so glad I did! Ben took my test-run lunch in it and loved it too.
For lunch, Ben took two turkey and cheese sandwiches on whole wheat, cut into R2D2 and C3PO (those were made with my Star Wars cookie presses. I sliced up fresh strawberries for him, along with some frozen blueberries that would thaw by lunch, some pretzel sticks, and a fun-size pack of mini M&Ms filled the cute middle circle.
So, what did we think of the box?

- My initial worry had been the size, but we were really surprised how much food it could hold. Ben (age 9 at the time of this post) eats a fair amount and he said this was perfect for lunch.
- Had we not shaped the sandwiches, it easily would have held a regular sandwich cut in half and stacked.
- The inside containers are sealed tightly, so his thawing blueberries didn't contaminate any other food and the teeny circle segment is perfect for a little sweet treat without going overboard.
- You can buy extra inner trays without an extra box, and the trays are dishwasher safe.
