We're still really really excited for Finding Dory, so we had to make another themed lunch to get ready for it! I think we may also have to do a Finding Nemo watch party before Monday night's premiere.
In this bento, I decided to make a chicken salad since chicken salad and crackers are a favorite sandwich alternative around here. I did *consider* the idea of tuna salad, but then it seemed like we were eating Dory's friends, so chicken it is! I used leftover boneless skinless chicken breast that had been marinated in a tomato/garlic/basil blend. It made for a really awesome flavor combo! I always do my chicken salads with my mini chopper before adding in mayo to get a nice finely chopped meat.
Once mixed, I knew we had to use our blue fish silicone cup to hold a big scoop of the salad. There were part of a set of 4 critter cups I found years ago at Ross. I wish I could remember the brand, but the box has been long gone.
I added some crackers for salad and some chunks of gouda cheese to round out the main course. To the right, I added some fresh green grapes and an apple cinnamon bar, cut in half, for a treat. Since we are staying with our Dory theme, everything got a few extra under the sea themed picks. Lunch is packed in one of our EasyLunchboxes!
We also have a cute Dory themed memory game for you! Just click on Dory above to download a printable file.
Don't forget to come back all week as we add in some more fun Finding Dory ideas and lunches for you!
