We love working on new programs with Krusteaz and we definitely love their baking mixes!
I always keep a few on hand for when we need a quick batch of cookies and the holiday season definitely requires a lot of last minute batches of cookies. Before we moved, we had quite a few last minute events, and once we moved, we definitely needed cookies. I was extra thankful to have some yummy mixes in the pantry. The Snickerdoodles are definitely a favorite here!
This year, we've been making big trays of cookies to take with us to group parties. A combination of Snickerdoodles, Butter Vanilla Sugar, Triple Chocolate Chunk, and Shortbreads always go quickly. Since the husband does work with single soldiers, I usually make enough that they can take to-go bags home with them.
But one of our favorite Christmas ideas? It's Reindeer cookies! You can make these with either a sugar cookie base or a gingerbread cookie base (we like the Butter Vanilla Sugar for this, but Krusteaz has a great gingerbread mix too), along with small pretzel twists and chocolate candies.
To make, mix up your dough for *CUT* cookies, roll it out and cut circles. On each circle, add two pretzel twist antlers, two blue eye chocolate candies, and a brown or red nose chocolate candy. Bake per the package directions, then enjoy how absolutely cute they are.
What kind of cookies do you make each year? We make some sort of reindeer, zebra nibbles (pretzel/peppermint kisses/M&Ms), Christmas tree brownies, and something else that sounds interesting based on our web browsing. I still haven't come up with this year's fourth choice yet,
We also have a great pack of Krusteaz goodies for one of our readers. I know it's super close to Christmas, but maybe one of your New Year's resolutions could be more baking! You'll receive a great assortment of 8 Krusteaz mixes, along with some other fun stuff to help your baking plans.
To enter, use the Rafflecopter below and tell me what your favorite Christmas cookie is? (And while not required, I love links to recipes, so if you have one, share it!!!!) You can also tweet about the giveaway for extra entries.
