Is a lunchable still a lunchable if it's full of breakfast foods? I have an affinity for breakfast for dinner, and for lunch, and basically any time of day that I'm hungry.
Today's adult lunchable features:
Mini pancake puffs (10 puffs, 220 cal,)
Breakfast sausages (4 sausages, 180 cal.)
Strawberries (3 sliced, 15 calories)
------------------
Box total calories are approximately 415 cal.
I bought the pancake puffs on sale for just under $4, and there are 4 servings per box, so it's about $1 for the pancakes. The sausages were out of a large pack, so $0.17 each, or $0.68 for the 4. The strawberries were from a pound container, and work out to about $0.15 per berry, or $0.45 for the 3. Total cost for the box is around $2.13, shopping here in Colorado
The main box is one of our EasyLunchboxes. Mine are probably my original ones that we use all the time. They hold a fair amount of food and can easily be subdivided with silicone baking cups for more compartments. They're also dishwasher safe, which is a plus in my book.
The syrup is packed in a melii Snap and Go Storage containers. Once again, they are technically meant for baby food, but the screw top lids make them perfect for syrup, sauces, or other liquid type items.
The strawberries are sitting inside a one of my Wilton Square Silicone Baking Cups. Because the box is heatable, I wanted the strawberries to be easily removable. This way, the whole thing could just go in the microwave at work.
