We're finishing up the week, so I went through the fridge to see what needed to be finished up before the weekend. I did buy some fresh fruits because we were low, but I had the end of the cucumber, some smoked chicken, and a few other things that had to go into the last two lunches of the week.
Today's adult lunchable features:
Smoked cheddar cubes (1.5 oz., 150 cal.)
Smoked seasoned chicken breast, seasoned with Oogie's Chicken & Waffles (3 oz., 98 cal. )
Strawberries (1/2 cup, 25 cal.)
Cucumber salad with shredded carrots and a splash of Italian dressing (1/4 cup, 40 calories)
Total calories for the box are approximately 313 cal.
For costs, the smoked chicken was bought on sale at $1.99/lb. That makes it about 12.5 cents per ounce, or $0.38 for the 3 ounces I used here. Cheese is always the highest, at at least $1 because it's always the good cheese varieties from the deli. I've been estimating the strawberries at maybe $0.45 and the cucumber at about $0.25. Total cost for this lunch is about $2.08.
This box is an EasyLunchboxes Snack Box once again. They are on Amazon for about $12 for a 4-pack. I feel like they are my favorite default because of the separate compartments. Also, I highly recommend the Oogie's Chicken & Waffles seasoning! It's super good and they are a Colorado company.
