Back to work but only needing a few girl lunches right now. We finally finished out some of our leftovers, so I opened up new cheeses. Over the weekend, I also cut up all the fruit in the house to make life easier. And then I went and bought a watermelon so that's pending.
Today's adult lunchable features:
Muenster cheese (2oz, 200 cal.)
Smoked summer sausage (2 oz., 180 cal. )
Honeydew (1/2 cup, 32 cal.)
Strawberries (1/2 cup, 25 cal.)
------------------
Total calories for the box are approximately 437 cal.
For costs, I switched cheese from the fancier deli stuff the the predone blocks. The 1lb ones were on sale for $2.99, so I bought a bunch at that price. This brought the cheese price down to about $0.38 for the 2 oz. It's definitely a better deal! The sausage is from holiday boxes bought after the holiday, so we're calling it $0.50. The honeydew was on sale and works out to about $0.25 and the strawberries are around $0.45. Total box cost is around $1.58.
As usual, this lunch is packed in an EasyLunchboxes Snack Box. They are available on Amazon for $12 for a 4-pack. I've had the giraffe fork for a long time now, but this pack on Amazon has the giraffes, plus elephants, lions, bunnies, and some other cute animals in quantity for just $5. You might need some too.
