I wasn't sure I was going to sandwich based adult lunchables. They never fit cute into the little box compartments, so I typically put them in just basic sandwich boxes. But then I found this super thin Pepperidge Farm sandwich bread and I think I may have changed my mind!
Ham and havarti triangle sandwiches (2 slices of bread, 80 cal.; deli ham, 80 cal.; havarti cheese, 60 cal.)
Honeydew melon (1/3 cup, 20 cal.)
Baby carrots (11 carrots, 44 cal.)
------------------
Box total calories are approximately 288 cal.
For total costs, two slices of bread would be $0.20 (30 slices at $2.99), ham would be $0.66/2 oz. (container was $2.99 on sale), havarti would be $0.22 (8 slices at $1.79 on sale). Carrots, I have estimated awhile ago around $0.44, and honeydew around $0.25. Total cost for this box is about $1.77
This lunch is packed in a Paperchase bento box that I've had for years. These 3 Sprouts Bento Boxes on Amazon have a fairly similar layout to them, but the Paperchase one has removable containers.
The strawberry pick is another thing from my own collection. I can't even find it online anymore, but these animal fork picks on Amazon for about $5 are really cute and would sub in quite well.
