One last 2008 lunch!

I found one last 2008 lunch on my camera card!

This was from the kids second-to-last day of school which was 12-15. Their last day of school was a hot lunch day for Faith and a pizza party for Ben, so I had to try to finish out some food on the 15th. We headed home to Canada on the 18th, so basically, I just used existing items for their lunches.

They both had the exact same thing for lunch--a homemade mini-quiche from my freezer stash, some carrot sticks, pretzels, chocolate goldfish and we finished the pineapple. Not bad for not buying more food for the last few days at home.

Thank you all so much for reading this year! I've enjoyed the bento-ing adventure with F&B too and we plan to continue into 2009. I'm planning a few cute giveaways soon, so check back in the new year!!! :o)

Another F&B Monday Lunch

Now if I am counting right, this should be Monday, December 8th. We only had 3 weeks of school left between Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.

We did a semi-hot lunch in that I warmed up part of Faith's and I hope that someone warmed up Ben's at his school. I wouldn't have eaten part of it cold, but it was what the kiddos wanted, so they got it.

Faith had on the bottom tier some leftover mac&cheese, leftover breaded chicken and my favorite maple carrots. The top tier has mango/papaya/kiwi, chocolate Goldfish, and pineapples/blueberries. I warmed up the bottom box and she ate it all (she *loves* maple carrots, I have to make an entire bag for the 4 of us).

Ben has similar, but in a smaller box--breaded chicken and mac&cheese on the left, maple carrots, chocolate goldfish and papaya/kiwi/blueberries/mango/pineapple on the right.

I have a couple of more lunches to post, but am missing the picture of Wednesday, December 10th. I was in the midst of my computer crisis and forgot about a picture. I know he had Christmas shaped sandwiches and the rest of the fruit, but no clue what else.

A random Ben lunch

Now that I can pull things off my camera card, I can add some of the lunches I have pictures of.

If I am correct, this is from the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Ben requested the exact same thing as the Monday after Thanksgiving and who am I to argue with a 3 year old who is making my life *easier* for once? ;o)

Ben took diced turkey, cheese & flatbread, a pumpkin cheesecake, blackberries & blueberries, and a side container (not pictured) of vanilla yogurt.

I'm up and running again! My wonderful husband managed to save all my files and get my computer working again, so I am in a much better place.

We are home in Canada for Christmas, but I will post the last few weeks of lunches as soon as I download the pics off my camera.

I can't remember what went for what days, but at least I have pics!

Technical Difficulty

My main computer crashed today for some unknown reason.

It keeps looping back to the start up screen and we are worried it might be the hard drive.

Until I figure out how to get photos on to my school laptop, it may be a few days with no new posts.

I have to get the main computer working, my entire life is stored on it!

After Thanksgiving Bentos

And what else could make up an after-turkey day bento but turkey???

We actually had dinner at a friend's house, so thankfully, they sent me home with enough turkey to get bentos!

Faith has diced turkey, cheese and a few pieces of flat bread, carrot sticks, blueberries, blackberries and a mini-muffin pumpkin cheesecake made by yours truly. (FYI, they weren't supposed to be mini-muffin cheesecakes but I forgot I had thrown out a couple of really yucky muffin pans, so I had to improvise mid-cooking.)

Ben has the same--turkey, cheese, flatbread, blueberries, blackberries, carrot sticks and a pumpkin cheese cake. I'm loving the matching lunches!
