Another Wednesday double lunch

Twas another hot lunch Wednesday that Faith decided she didn't want, so I needed two lunches again. Back into my freezer stash I go. Thankfully, the muffins thawed before the picture, but the berries didn't. They are perfectly fine berries, just still a tad bit frozen!!!

Ben had a chicken & veggie stuffed muffin, a blueberry mini muffin, blueberries and blackberries, some cheese and a mini Nestle Crunch bar (it's cut in half in the bottom left corner) from his Easter basket.

Faith had mostly the same (chicken/veggie muffin, blueberry muffin, cheese, blueberry & blackberry mix, mini Nestle Crunch) plus carrot sticks and ranch dip in the cute little "Fruit" container from my friend Michelle. It is too cute and Faith loves it!

Back to school Monday

And we're back. Nana and Dave went home this weekend, so there is a lot of poutiness around here. And to top it off, we had to go back to school. For some reason, my son was convinced that he did not have to go to school which resulted in massive tears and issues for Daddy on Monday morning. Poor little guy.

Slightly different lunches today (well, extra stuff for Faith). Faith had cream cheese & jelly sandwiches shaped like bunnies, a boiled egg, some carrots, grapes, strawberries and a little vanilla cupcake.

Mr. Crankypants had cream cheese & jelly camel sandwiches, grapes, strawberries, a few carrots and a vanilla cupcake. I am not sure if the cupcake made up for the fact that he did have to go to school.

F&B on a Wednesday

Today was not a hot lunch Wednesday for Faith, so both kiddos needed a lunch. Thankfully, I have stuff in my freezer and leftovers from Easter, so we were pretty good to go on lunches. They had matching meals again.

They each had a corndog muffin, half a boiled egg, some yummy Canadian cheese, grapes and a few koala cookies. Simple, yet filling!

After Easter Bento

Like most other parents on Monday morning, my kids got an after-Easter leftover lunch, very similar in form and function to the leftover Thanksgiving lunch, but with ham and not turkey!

I forgot to take pics until the last minute, so it's just one kid's lunch. However, they were identical and I'm not really sure which kid's lunch this is!

The kiddos had a boiled egg (of course!), sliced ham, polish sausage, grapes, cheese and some goldfish crackers. All gone by the time they got home, yum!

Just Ben, once again

Faith wanted pizza day and I didn't have the energy to argue, so we had a just Ben Wednesday. It's worth my sanity level, I wish he had pizza day too! ;o)

I thought his lunch looked so cheerful today, pretty & bright colors, and two smaller containers. The big Shinkansen shaped container has tons of melon (watermelon and honeydew), kebabs of cheese and deli turkey, and some Ritz crackers underneath. The little Shinkansen container held 2 Oreos and some Yogos. Not sure it is the healthiest lunch ever, but it did look nice at least!

Monday, Monday, So Good to Me

My general rules of life include that if *I* have an annoying song stuck in my head, everyone else should too. It works well, except for the fact that Shaun never knows titles or lyrics and thus I can't get him on the "be annoyed with me" bandwagon. So instead, it's the new post title in the hopes that someone else will end up with it in their head as well.

We opted for a leftover Monday, with empanadas left from dinner the other night. They are from On the Border, so no secret recipe, but you can find them in the appetizer section. Each of the kiddos had an empanada, some cheese cubes, tons of fresh melon (watermelon, canteloupe and honeydew) and some cinnamon goldfish. Faith also had a few carrots and Ben had a few Autoland crackers. Both of them ate everything, which impressed me, it's a lot of food!

April Fool's Day Lunch for Ben

Just the boy needed lunch today, so I asked for his request. He wanted grapes and sandwiches. easy enough!

Ben had little teddy bear shapes sandwiches (look sideways if you need to!), some parmesan goldfish, cheese, a couple of koala & panda cookies, and purple & green grapes.

I've noticed he eats more if he picks what he wants ...
